Pictures from 2003 China Trip:

With the exception of my sister and I, everyone in our family has visited China at least once since we immigrated to the USA. My first trip back to China was not planned in advance -- it was in fact very last minute.

We got word towards the end of December 2002 that my eldest aunt was very ill and required my father to make a trip back to China to manage the situation. My mother had asked that I go back to help out. Given the severity of the situation, I took two weeks off from work to fly back.

My sister had flewn with my father. We met up in Tokyo at the airport, then finally in Hong Hong. From there we were on a very harried and hectic schedule, however, we did manage to sneak in some site-seeing. As you can see in the outline of our schedule below that it was packed, hopping from place to place in a short two weeks...

01/14/03 - 01/16/03 ... Hong Kong (Kowloon only) mostly Nathan Road and Kowloon Park...

01/16/03 - 01/20/03 ... ShenZhen & BaiSha cityscapes; tourist spots; and a beach...

01/20/03 - 01/23/03 ... GuangZhou Tomb site of the Nanyue King...

01/23/03 - 01/24/03 ... MiLong, TaiShan shots of the village and villagers...

01/24/03 - 01/26/03 ... HongKong Night Scenes from TsimShaTsui
